Aoife Cronin is a writer and director from East Meath, interested in the stories we tell ourselves, about ourselves. She is a graduate of The Lir Academy’s MFA in playwriting.
Her previous credits include GO WEST! (Edinburgh Fringe 2025), Stunning / Sticking (Scripted Dublin Fringe Festival 2025) and The Answer (Cork Fringe 2025). Aoife is a selected artist for the 2026 Axis Assemble programme. She is a proud member of the BORDERS film collective, an Erasmus project where she mentors young film-makers on peace focused projects across Europe, most recently filming in Srebrenica (Bosnia) and The Hague.
Aoife’s work focuses on experimentation with form – how does the way we ask the question change the answer? She is a fervent optimist, a believer in art, and a believer in people.
