Poet and performer Chrys Salt has written in every genre but the novel including five full poetry collections and four pamphlet collections.

Her work has been translated into several languages and set to music by various composers. She has performed UK wide, in the USA, Canada, France, Germany, Finland, India, Australia and Africa.

Chrys featured as The International Poet at The Tasmanian Poetry Festival 2019 with an adjacent tour up the Australian East Coast, was guest of honour at The Dialogia Festival in Finland August 2022, and one of seven international poets featuring at The Kistrech International Poetry Festival in Kenya in November 2022.

She has been recipient of awards, bursaries and International Travel Grants (various) including a National Media Award, a Fringe First at The Edinburgh Festival and an Arts and Business Award.

In 2014 Chrys was awarded an MBE in the late Queen’s Birthday Honours List for Services to The Arts.
