A candid, spellbinding multimedia performance that tells an exceptional story.
Jenny and Myshkin invite the audience on a journey from origin stories and migrations, through their paths’ convergence, and into the tale of the of Jenny’s near death experience, sepsis survival, and new life on metal legs.
Balancing urgency and reflection, humour and wonder, Held on the High Wire merges Jenny’s raw, vulnerable memoir with Myshkin’s haunting Folk/Jazz music and films. It explores sudden disability, queer family, resilience, love and transformation with rare honesty and exceptional artistry.
‘Incredibly deep, rich, and beautiful. I found the words, the music and the film to be
breathtaking.’
Tracey Aldridge-Russell
‘Deeply moving, compelling and resonant.’
